Sparks Heritage Museum uses several methods to enhance historical education within the Truckee Meadows. One of the most popular educational experiences for youth and adults are museum tours. Included in by-appointment tours are the Museum, the Chinese Central Pacific Bridge, the Train and the 1864 Glendale Schoolhouse.

Getting off to a slow start, the Value Added Series is beginning December 8, 2011. It will feature a variety of topics from around the Truckee Meadows. Dr. Richard Simmonds will kick-off the first with "Animals in Space" followed by a three part Nevada review by area favorite, Fred Horlacher. Start tracking these exciting programs and join with others who appreciate the history of the Truckee Meadows.

The museum offers an adult speaker program for local organizations. Additionally, there are six National Registered Historic Buildings within easy walking distance from 820 Victorian Avenue.
